You're right that content-on-demand is very much a cross-platform phenomenon, as is the ability for anyone to create their own content and aggregate it into channels.

Check out Magnify.net -- it's a perfect example of a video aggregator. Anyone can make a niche-focused web site and community using videos other people have posted on YouTube. It even has some content management features for the site's editor so that you can decide which videos are allowed to be displayed. The site themeing is also very nice. Printcasting shares a lot in common with Magnify. It simply has a print output.
